The Sou’Westers recently returned from South Africa – a tour which was outstanding in all respects. Peter’s excellent and erudite tour report can now be found in the Tours section.

Last year’s tour was another blessed generally with good weather and lots of runs.  We had a healthy influx of new players, who we hope will be playing again in 2012, and the continuing trend of next generation Sou’Westers contributed widely to a successful tour. Read the rest of this entry »

Peter was born on 11 March 1934 and died on 7 April 2011.

He was educated at Connaught House School, Bishop’s Lydiard, and, like his father, Radley College.  Born in Wellington, he lived in and around it all his life.  He worked for what is now Swallowfield in Wellington and Global Chemicals in Bampton, Devon.  And no doubt other places too.
