About Us
On 27th April 1930 a meeting was held in Mr W F M Jones’ rooms in Caius College Cambridge, at which it was decided to form a cricket club. And so Sou’Westers CC, as it became, was formed…
We are a touring side whose principal function is to tour the West Country of England for two weeks every summer. We still play (and hugely enjoy playing) several of the clubs who featured on the first Western Tour 80 years ago. Every few years we also enjoy successful overseas tours to destinations such as Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Bermuda, Corfu and Italy.
